Hannah Means
Early-career science writer with a love for space
Hello! My name is Hannah Means, and I recently graduated from Bowling Green State University (BGSU) with a B.S. in Physics and a minor in Astronomy.
During my time at BGSU, I helped run our stargaze program and planetarium shows. I was the President of the Society of Physics Students during my senior year, and was an officer for the two prior years. I also wrote short articles for the Physics and Astronomy department website. Anything that involves communicating science is something I tried to be a part of.

I have always been a writer at heart. I have done a little of everything, whether it was typing stories about unicorns on my grandma's computer when I was a kid, creating guides on how to play a mobile game I loved as a teen, constructing a stargazing training manual for BGSU in college, or publishing articles in a the national Physics Today magazine.

I had the amazing opportunity to be an intern at Physics Today in 2023, and I loved every minute. I freelanced for the magazine after the internship ended, and am now working a temporary full-time job for Physics Today as a Science News Reporter/Writer.
